Giuseppe Sciuto, “flautista”, cominciò lo studio del flauto sotto la guida del M° Davide Distefano. Si è diplomato presso l’Istituto di Alta Formazione Musicale “Vincenzo Bellini” di Catania, sotto la guida del M° Aura Cosentino, col massimo dei voti e la lode. Nel 2012 conseguì il biennio specialistico presso lo stesso Istituto. Ha frequentato corsi d’alto perfezionamento con Bruno Cavallo, Davide Formisano, Carlo Tabarelli, Giampaolo Pretto, Roberto Fabbricani, Giovanni Roselli, Salvatore Vella, Gary Schocker, Jean Ferrandis, Deborah Baron, Jean Larson Garver, Lorna McGhee, Michael Lynn, Thomas Robertello, Carol Wincec, David Buck.
Ha frequentato la Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, seguendo un Performer Diploma in flauto; inoltre ha ricoperto il ruolo di Teaching Assistant nella classe di Jean Larson Garver, ex primo flauto della Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Vincitore di numerosi concorsi nazionali ed internazionali, svolge l’attività concertistica tra l’Italia e Dallas da solista, con orchestra e in numerose formazioni cameristiche.

Ha coperto il ruolo di primo flauto nelle seguenti orchestre: Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, Camerata di Kiev, Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina, la Meadows Symphony Orchestra e la Meadows Wind Ensemble in Dallas. Risultato idoneo presso l’Orchestra del Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania.
Ha lavorato con illustri direttori come Alexander Titov, Evelino Pidò, Antonino Cericola, Antonino Manuli, Francesco Di Mauro, Marco Alibrando, Paul Philips e Jack Delaney. Si è esibito con il Soprano Chiara Taigi, il tenore Piero Giuliacci, il duo Sara Jane Morris e Nick the Nightfly, il sassofonista Francesco Cafiso, il Volo, il violinista Matt Albert, il pianista Joaquin Achucarro, etc. Ha ricoperto il ruolo di docente presso l’Istituto Musicale “Pietro Vinci” di Caltagirone (CT) dal 2017 al 2020 ed è stato docente di flauto presso la Middle e High School in Texas.

He has won numerous national and international contests and has been the principal flute in the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra. He has played for the Kiev Feminine National Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Vittorio Emanuele Theatre in Messina, the Juvenile Orchestra of the Bellini Music Institute in Catania, the Mediterranean Symphony Orchestra, the Meadows Symphony Orchestra, and the Meadows Wind Ensemble. He has worked with illustrious conductors, such as Alexander Titov, Evelino Pidò, Antonio Cericola, Antonino Manuli, Francesco Di Mauro, Marco Alibrando, Paul Philips and Jack Delaney.
He has performed with well-known artists, such as the soprano Chiara Taigi, Francesca Sciaini, the tenor Piero Giulliacci, the duo Sara Jane Morris and Nick the Nightfly, the saxophonist Francesco Cafiso, the violinist Matt Albert, the pianist Joaquìn Achucarro. He has also been managing an intensive concert schedule, from Italy to the USA, playing in important theaters in Sicily and Dallas, including the Caruth Hall, McFarlin Auditoriums, Winspear Opera House and Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. He graduated at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas on May 2017, as a Performers Diploma student in the class of the former principal flute of the DSO, Jean Larson Garver. He was eligible for the third flute in the Bellini Theatre in Catania.
He was a flute professor to the Musical Institute “Pietro Vinci” of Caltagirone (CT) from 2017 to 2020.
At the moment he has a O1 Visa in USA and works like a private flute instructor at the Middle and High School in Dallas area.
He plays a 14K laminated Muramatsu flute.
